2026 BMW M Concept Neue Klasse

BMW has previewed the electric M3 of the future with the reveal of the M Concept Neue Klasse. Whilst BMW’s Neue Klasse styling hasn’t always been a crowd pleaser with its sometime awkward looking form, the sales numbers prove it’s good enough to move a few numbers. Now we get a first glimpse at how it looks with some pumped up wheel arches and a bit of sporty flavour thrown in. And it’s an improvement to my eye, with the M Concept Neue Klasse looking like a real M3 that we could see driving down the road in a year or two.

Built around BMW’s Gen6 electric technology, it comprises of four electric motors positioned on each axle with the rear motors electrically excited synchronous and the fronts asynchronous. They are both paired with silicon-carbide inverters, connected to a 100+ kWh battery pack, and should produce over 650 hp.
