2025 Karma Amaris Prototype

Karma Automotive have revealed the Amaris prototype, a plug-in hybrid coupe that aims for over 400 miles of electric driving range. Fitted with a BMW sourced, turbo four-cylinder range-extender engine that is essentially used as a generator, it will feed a 41.5 kWh battery and two electric motors. The combined power output of those two e-motors will reach 708 hp and 676 lb-ft of torque and accelerate the Amaris from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds.

The styling follows that of the Karma Revero, modified to fit around a 2-door coupe style body shape, and it’s all the better for it. The proportions of a coupe really suit the design language of Karma, and we can expect the eventual production model to look very similar.
